Rafael Ventura and Lorena Gómez participated in the II International Conference Gender and Communication

Rafael Ventura and Lorena Gómez participated in the II International Conference Gender and Communication. The conference has been held the days 1st, 2nd and 3th of April 2014 in the School of Communication at the University of Sevilla. It focused on the reflections about the achievements and challenges to achieve a society in equality. It was attended by prominent nationally and internationally researchers.

Rafael Ventura presented a paper entitled La identidad transexual infantil: Estudio del caso Málaga en elpais.com (Transgender child identity: Study of the Málaga case in elpais.com) developed together with Ivan Vaz, student of the Master of Social Communication at the UPF.

The work of Lorena Gómez entitled Ideales de maternidad en las revistas de familia. Análisis de ‘Mi bebé y yo’, ‘Ser padres’, y ‘El mundo de tu bebé (Maternity ideals in family magazines. Analysis of  'My Baby and Me', 'Parenthood', and 'You baby's world') is also signed by Pilar Medina and Monica Figueras (CAS Group researchers), from the UPF.
